Work Lunch



Let me apologize to start with.  Not the best display of my lunch but you do what you can at work. 

Lunch 2-7-12

Grilled organic chicken seasoned with backwoods smoked rub (From a local store in VA) and 1/4 of an organic avocado - Chicken portion size - palm of my hand
Raw veggies - radishes, zucchini and broccoli
2 Tbsp of roasted red pepper hummus )not completely Paleo friendly, but delicious anyways)
Water

As you can see my entertainment doing lunch was "In Defense of Food" by Michael Pollan.  I will give you a review after I finish.

By the way, I start a six-week Paleo Challenge on Saturday.  Getting a head start by working on portion sizes.  Lets hope this challenge will help my waist. :)


Start of something new


So, recently I have decided to change my life. I am unhappy in my current environment and would like to improve my overall life, health and wellbeing. I believe that once you have a goal set you should try everything to achieve your goal, so this is what I am doing.



With this being said, about two month ago I signed up for a year long class at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition®, to start my new journey on becoming a Health Coach  I am fed up with being unhappy with my career which in turns flows into my personal life outside of the office.  I was once told by my loving boyfriend, and I quote, “You have a chemical imbalance”.  This may in fact be true but if you are unhappy at work than more times than not you will be unhappy at home.  So my goal is to find a career that I enjoy, get my health in track and this in turn shall help with my “Chemical Imbalance”. 



So from this day forward I will post my daily activities which will include Crossfit WODs, meals (pictures and recipes will be provided) and whatever is on my mind.  This will be a learning experience so please bear with me.
